The Career Development Series
The Career Development Series is an informal Q&A forum where physician scientists on faculty provide guidance for identifying mentors and research directions, identifying funding opportunities, obtaining and negotiating academic jobs, staffing and managing a research lab, and reviewing and preparing manuscripts. Check back in 2017 to view upcoming career development sessions.

JHUSOM PSTP Experiment Fund
The PSTP funds small projects initiated by physician scientists in training. These microgrants of up to $5,000. are intended for small experiments and contracted services for producing preliminary data, conducting hypothesis-generating screens, or demonstrating feasibility. Projects should fall outside the scope of their mentor’s already funded research program. One page proposals are required.

K Series Research Career Development Awards
K series Research Career Development Awards are available through the NIH.

JHUSOM Clinician Scientist Awards
JHUSOM Clinician Scientist Awards provide up to $80,000 per year for junior faculty salary support for a maximum of two years.
